Shooting for Men in the city 2 starts

After just two weeks on release and some 215,000 tickets sold for MEN IN THE CITY, the decision was taken to make a follow-up to the hit movie. And now the time has come – on Friday, director Mark de Cloe once again takes his place behind the camera and Daan Schuurmans, Barry Atsma, Jeroen Spitzenberger and Fabian Jansen will again take on the roles of Tim, Dennis, Wouter and Niels. A new face among the men is Mingus Dagelet (TO BE KING) as the romantically inclined Younes. Which woman he has his eye on and whether the men meet new women in the film is yet to be announced. MEN IN THE CITY 2 is scheduled for a 17 December cinema release.

The first all-star romantic comedy finally sold more than 450,000 tickets and the film’s adventures in love reached almost one hundred thousand living rooms through a VOD channel. The title song of the same name by Bløf and Nielson was a mega-hit and, like lead actor Barry Atsma, won a Rembrandt Award.

The new film is again being produced by Alain de Levita and Kaja Wolffers of NL Film, in cooperation with RTL Entertainment. Dutch FilmWorks is again taking care of distribution.
