School's Out

Kids daily, 7 seasons (1130 episodes of 10 minutes)
On air since 2007 on Zapp.

In SCHOOL’S OUT, we follow the day-to-day experiences of ten students at their high school, Spangalis College, known as ‘Spanga’ for short. These ‘SpangaS’ have all kinds of recognisable, exciting adventures. The stories take place mostly around the school and the schoolyard, but sometimes also in the students’ homes. Each of the students has their own, unique story as they grow up and get to know and deal with love, friendship, loneliness, sorrow, school, teachers, parents, divorce, belonging, bullying, dreams for the future and much, much more. In short – life.

Spangalis College is without question the most fun school in the Netherlands. Alongside normal lessons, there are parties, fashion shows and sports days. The students engage in charity campaigns or carry out research before setting up a website. They get work experience at a riding school, help the disabled, or hide themselves away in their secret den.

But SpangaS has even more to offer. SpangaS is a cross-media world in which everyone aged 9 and older can feel at home. By watching the series, engaging interactively with the special website, reading the books or attending a SpangaS fan day or one of the other events dedicated to SpangaS. is an essential element of the SpangaS universe. Here, you can click on the names of the characters and – for example – read excerpts from their diaries, where they make notes on their lives and bring together all kinds of things they like. In the forum, you can ask questions and exchange tips on living with spots, homework, young love, etc. And that’s not all. At you can also take part in competitions, play loads games and of course find out which SpangaS character you are most like today.
