"Made by and for gamers"

NL Film, in collaboration with NTR, is developing and producing a new online series about gaming. 'Multiplayer' is the new comedy series about gaming culture, following a group of young employees in the coolest game store in the Netherlands.

'Multiplayer' delves into a world filled with terms like Frags, Memes, Teamkills, Ganks, N00bs, and Simps, where employees Minka, Janna, Ahmin, Borus, and their eccentric boss Kees Knoppeman fully immerse themselves. The series focuses on how they, as colleagues, navigate through the realm of nerdy know-it-alls, return fraud, late-night game releases, demanding customers, and cosplay divas. Meanwhile, they play the latest games, share memes, and try to survive in this turbulent environment.

The 10-episode comedy series will be available online from Saturday, January 27, 2024, via npo3.nl.

About the creators
The online comedy series is created and produced by gamers, based on an idea by Paul de Vrijer (known for Herres, Vakkenvullers), who is also the series writer. The direction is led by David Cocheret (known for Spangas, De Slet van 6VWO). Both are gamers at heart and aim to pay tribute to gaming culture with this series. The cast of 'Multiplayer' includes Annabelle Hinam, Isabel Bruijnzeels, Mohamed Ali, Jay Karim-Jonker, Maurits Wijmenga, and John Buijsman.
