"The video clip for the number ‘Niemand’ has already been watched more than a quarter of a million times in barely four days. "

This Friday, Ronnie Flex & Mr. Polska launched the track ‘Niemand’, the soundtrack to the film Popoz. This film, based on the Comedy Central series of the same title, goes back to the rookie days in the careers of two trigger-happy police officers who will do anything to see some action – a theme also taken up in the clip for ‘Niemand’. Closer to the theatrical release of Popoz on 8 October, Broederliefde will also launch an exclusive number for the soundtrack of this explosive action comedy. The video clip for the number ‘Niemand’ has already been watched more than a quarter of a million times in barely four days. This week also sees the release of this number on iTunes and the streaming channels.

Alongside Popoz lead actors Huub Smit (NEW KIDS) and Sergio Hasselbaink (ZOMBIBI), Popoz also has roles for Noel Deelen (as rather overenthusiastic intern Coco), Markoesa Hamer, Pierre Bokma as bad guy Mercator, Ancilla Tilia as the sexy pathologist, Leo Alkemade and Fabian Jansen as the good cops, Yolanthe Sneijder-Cabau as a mercenary and Roeland Fernhout and Uriah Arnhem as coke dealers. As in the series, Martijn Smits and Erwin van den Eshof direct, and wrote the screenplay with Wijo Koek. NL Film (MEN IN THE CITY, SPANGAS and PENOZA, among others) produced the film in cooperation with Comedy Central.

About the film
Detectives Ivo (Huub Smit) and Randy (Sergio Hasselbaink) want to fight crime their way – just through thrilling, tough-guy action. When they decide to tackle a hostage situation their way (along with enthusiastic intern Coco, played by Noel Deelen), it quickly turns into a hail of bullets, explosions and a mounting body count. They themselves end up in jail, where they have to deal with deadly criminal Mercator (Pierre Bokma). When he puts Ivo and Randy on the trail of a drugs cartel that has been plauging the city, the gloves really come off in a desperate attempt to bring the operation to a successful conclusion. Finally, the action they have been dreaming of!
