shooting
started this week. The six-part series can be seen in the fall of 2022 at AVROTROS on NPO 3. There are roles for Nasrdin Dchar, Ellen Parren, Matteo van der Grijn, Abbas Fasaei, Melody Klaver and Sophie Veldhuizen.
Nasrdin Dchar plays Mardik, a driven detective of Afghan origin, who is distrusted by an AIVD employee after she discovers something about his past. One evening, Mardik receives a disturbing text message revealing that his childhood friend Faysal has come to the Netherlands. When a terrorist attack is carried out the next day, Mardik immediately suspects Faysal and goes to investigate, with drastic consequences...
The Golden Hour was written by Simon de Waal and directed by Bobby Boermans. The series is produced by NL Film commissioned by AVROTROS. Banijay Belgium is involved as co-producer. The series has been realized with the support of NPO, Netherlands Film Production Incentive and the Tax Shelter of the Belgian Federal Government. International sales are in the hands of LS Distribution / Mediawan.
