ZOO Rangers

In this zoo the animals aren’t the only entertainment…

Zoo Rangers is a daily soap aimed at kids between the ages of 6 and 13, focusing on the lives of eight teenagers, in training to become fully fledged zoo keepers. Cute to scary, enormous to miniscule, the Zoo Rangers learn how to deal with each and every one of the animals; from scrubbing the elephants to feeding the crocodiles. Aside from learning the trade, in the field and in the classroom (from teachers Gaby and Fabian), the rangers live, play, laugh and cry together.

The series sees the teenagers come of age, find new friends, support each other through the high and the low times and discover their first loves. Meet the rangers: there’s Sira. The youngest of the rangers. She’s lived in the zoo all her life and is the only one to still live with her mother. She’s constantly trying to cope the older kids. Mike, from a wealthy family, left home because of his parents pushing him to become a diplomat; happy-to-go-lucky Alwin gets on with everyone and loves animals; Elise, who’s more at ease around animals than people; Moes the scientist, with a rebuttal for everything; Bionda the daddy’s girl whose lifelong goal is to become the star of the sea lion show; Taffie the loose canon of the group, with a big mouth and a big heart to match. And lastly, Bastiaan, the ranger who dreams of DJ stardom and hooking up with Bionda. This is one zoo you’ll want to visit every day..
