Vera is a lonely museum warden who yearns for contact. One cold winter evening, after yet another day spent silently observing the visitors to the museum, she finds a homeless man sleeping in her doorway. She decides to take care of him. First, she gives him a blanket and a thermos flask of tea; a little later, she gives him the key to her house. Using chocolate as the principal means of communication, she strikes up an exceptional dialogue.

Interested in filming in the Netherlands?

The Netherlands has a wide range of both classic locations and modern architecture, flatlands, wide meadows and ‘polders’, beaches, castles and spacious houses. Being a small nation, all locations can be reached within limited time from Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Our crews are very flexible and English speaking.
